Sovereign Trust Insurance Company Plc commenced business on Monday 2nd January 1995 following the acquisition and recapitalization of the former Grand Union Assurances Limited with an authorized share capital of NGN30 Million and a fully paid up capital of NGN20 Million.

The company is wholly owned by Nigerians with institutional investors forming part of the shareholding. Currently, our authorised share capital is NGN3.5 Billion with fully paid-up capital in excess of NGN 2 Billion and a shareholder’s fund in excess of NGN 3.4 Billion.  Our company is licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to underwrite general business and special risks.
